Unlocking China's FMCG potential has always been difficult, but today it's more nuanced than ever. Softer consumer spending, pricing pressure, and constant innovation are reshaping the market, often leaving businesses to adapt to new challenges. In this environment, those with clarity on what matters are best positioned to move forward.

The New Zealand Business Roundtable in China (NZBRiC) invites New Zealand FMCG brands to join our Q2 Industry Forum on April 16. Titled "From Pantry to Prime-Time – The Secret Sauce of FMCG Winners", this session brings together expert insights across intellectual property, business model transformation, and M&A, with a focus on what is working in China today – and what will matter next.

Jessica Lee, Director of IPR Strategic Partnerships at Alibaba China, will share practical guidance on protecting and enforcing IP across Alibaba's e-commerce platforms.

Joseph Djanogly, Director of F&B at InterChina Partners, will provide an overview of the key trends shaping China's food and beverage sector, along with the outlook for 2026.

Eric Wang, APAC Managing Director at Ocean Spray, will close with real case examples of FMCG brands at different stages of their China journey, and the strategies behind their growth.

The session will be moderated by FMCG Industry Chair David Boyle, CEO of Primary Collaboration New Zealand, and will conclude with an open discussion and Q&A. Members are then invited to continue the conversation over networking drinks at a nearby venue.

Non-member attendees are subject to approval upon registration.
